Sad day for me
So, I have a 2003 car that has broken down on me two times in two months. It's a former rental car, which I found out after I had signed the papers, and since it wasn't "certified", I got screwed on that deal.
Anyway, at 136000 miles, I figured, I didn't want it to nickle and dime me to death from now on, sooooo, time for a new car. Did a little shopping around, research, etc., and decided on a Hyundai Sonata. BTW, if you need a car, you can do yourself a favor and talk to Scott at Harrisburg Hyundai. Good man, for a car salesman.
After all of the paperwork was done, I am the proud owner of a brand new car.
The sad part: I had a Federal Arms FA-91 on layaway at my local gunshop, only 200 from being the new owner. Now, due to the outlay of money for the down payment, tax, tags, etc., I had to take the gun off of layaway, and get my money back. I guess my gun buying days are limited for a while.
Oh, well, a gun can't get me back and forth to work, which this car will have to do so I can pay for it.
(Wipes tear from eye)

As a former president once said " I feel your pain ". Tough spot to be in, new firearm, or a means to make a living. You did what had to be done. Personally speaking , you fu*ked up!

The only rational decision. A shame to lose the toy, but sustenance takes priority.
Criminal that you could only get 5 years on the vehicle. And with what would appear to be mostly highway miles at that! What was it?

03 Chrysler Sebring. I did drive it mostly on 15, 581, 81, and other highways. It served it's purpose, but I wish it would have lasted just a bit longer.
Oh, well, the rifle was an impulse item anyway. There will be others.

Truly a sad day.
You don't get you gun, and now you drive a Hyundai.
I generally buy from private owners, and haven't dealt wth dealerships too much. I don't see the need to spend more than 5 grand on a car unless it's a classic. My EX bought this car for 35k and the payments kill her. I'll stick with used cars. I'd rather do a little work for inspection than spend 35k on a freaking car.
Glad you can get to work though. Hyundai's are good cars though.
