I definitely like the new version better. Getting rid of the scrolling frames makes it alot easier to look at and definitely more professional looking.

Well it is definitely 100 times better BUT (always a but) I have to say I really do not like that photoshoped gold font you are using for your menu. Why are you even using images for your menu item? Little trick from an SEO guy here, using actual text for your menu and using good keywords in that text makes Google like you even more!

I think it looks good. The only suggestion I have is to add more contrast to the menu on the left and the wood background. I had a little trouble seeing until I plugged my laptop in. You could either change wood color or letter color. But it is a small thing and other than that I think you site looks good. IMO

    thanks guys,
dcdalton, when i check the file size and load time against each other for either a direct link or the linked image it shows no difference.
when i loaded a fully linked version to the web folder to check actual load time it loaded completely for me in about 8 seconds. and i am on dial-up at 46.6

c pratt, that was one thing mentioned by others and was fixed about an hour or so after your post...background is now a dark walnut shade and adds quite a bit more contrast
