I'm as ready as any of us to see Trump replace her, but I fall short of glee at her injury and pain.

I'm with you on this. I never broke a rib but I hear that they hurt pretty bad and it's not like a broken leg or foot where you can lay back and not use it, you have to breathe and with each and every breath you feel the pain as those broken ribs flex in and out. Now let's see if she's smart enough to call it a career or if she wants to be a bitch and continue to haunt us.

You learn pretty quick to breathe nice & shallow so as not to flex your ribs, when they're cracked/broken.

It's still difficult to sleep, sit down/get up, sneeze, laugh, etc. I've broken or cracked quite a few ribs over the years (actually have a bruised/cracked one now) and since the doctors can't really do anything for it, I don't even bother getting x-rays anymore. It sucks being skinny when playing contact or "extreme" sports.

I know, I've bruised/possibly cracked a rib before when a car fell on me (never confirmed as I didn't get x-rays or anything). Hinders movement greatly. Sneezing was the worst, everything else I was able to mostly mitigate with careful, calculated movements.

Then again, I was 25 at the time, not 80. Ginsberg's gonna take a good while longer to heal, and doesn't have the auxiliary muscles to help avoid painful movements.

I know nothing about her prior health history but it is not unusual for a person of that age to have diminished pulmonary functions and quick, shallows breaths might not work too well for her.

I don't care who wishes what on her, to each their own, we're cool.

Would it be wrong for me to think it would be funny if she caught herself a bad cough right about now?

Don't know what hurts worse, cracked/broken ribs or pneumonia. Had both (not at the same time), like neither.
