at her age, I figured one of her graham-cracker hips was far more likely.

I wish her well as a person, and suggest (not even for political reasons) that she should retire and enjoy her great-grandchildren while she still has the time to.

No way she can still be physically able to serve in 2 years, let alone now.

If the Dem party is forcing her to stay on and suffer, that's disgusting.

I used to break them on occasion when I was training.

Sotomayor is the most extreme Justice in my opinion...Ginsburg does incredible damage to our nation but I do believe Sotomayor's views are far more radical. Too bad she has many years left on the court, she's the one I'd love to have replaced. She's 64.

    Breyer is 80 too!

It's still difficult to sleep, sit down/get up, sneeze, laugh, etc. I've broken or cracked quite a few ribs over the years (actually have a bruised/cracked one now) and since the doctors can't really do anything for it, I don't even bother getting x-rays anymore. It sucks being skinny when playing contact or "extreme" sports.

I knew a guy that claimed he broke 3 ribs in a fight when he was working undercover security at Dulles. He was telling us all about it between frames at bowling.

Funny you would say that...I was thinking that she should watch some George Carlin videos.

I know, I've bruised/possibly cracked a rib before when a car fell on me (never confirmed as I didn't get x-rays or anything). Hinders movement greatly. Sneezing was the worst, everything else I was able to mostly mitigate with careful, calculated movements.

Then again, I was 25 at the time, not 80. Ginsberg's gonna take a good while longer to heal, and doesn't have the auxiliary muscles to help avoid painful movements.
