Re: utah ltcf question
Utah permit site:
http://des.utah.gov/bci/concealedfirearms.html
From that site:
APPLICATION PROCESSING
Once your application is received, a background investigation
will be conducted. When this process is complete and it is
determined that the criteria established by law has been met,
the permit will be mailed to you. Do not call to check the
status of your permit. Your application will be receipted once
it is received. We have 60 days to process your application.
FWIW, I got mine 52 days after I mailed it to them back in Jan. 08.
Have a little patience.
I'm curious, why don't you apply for your Pa LTCF then you and your gun wouldn't be bored sitting at home.

Wow I remember that thread but to be honest I did not keep up with it. IMHO you have a little time to wait yet.
Another thread with time from check out of bank to receipt.

Re: utah ltcf question
I got my Utah CFP last September after a 4 month wait (took the course and applied in May 2007). They experienced a large influx of non-resident applications last year, and their website stated UT resident permits would be issued first. At the time, the website gave a rough guesstimate of how long non-residents could expect. They've since beefed up the office that processes applications and shortened the wait time. I'd recommend you surf around their site to see if they're still offering estimated wait times.
