Default Prohibited Person in the House?

I know a guy who's son was arrested for drugs and is now out on bail. The father has a couple of guns and it looks like the kid is supposed to live at that house for the time being. If the kid moves in does he have to remove his guns from the premises?

State and Federal laws say that the kid can't have access to anything that goes "bang!" or ammo, which means that you need at a minimum a locking closet, room or safe.

However, conditions of probation or parole or bail can go further, meaning that if he's only free if he lives in a dwelling where no guns exist, you have a choice between having guns or having the kid in the house.

Depending on the relationship, it can be handy having an able-bodied person around who will do anything for a fix.

I'm thinking about lawnmowing and house painting, of course. Maybe cleaning up the dog crap in the yard. Nothing kinky. Not within 3 degrees of consanguinity, anyway.
