Re: Remembering Old Westerns!
Wow did that bring back memories! I used to watch sooo many of those B/W's because they had horses. I loved watching Indians ride bareback.
Thanks for that... it was fun.

Re: Remembering Old Westerns!
They missed a whole lot of westerns and cowboys.
Off the top of my head:
Wild Wild West (my all time favorite western series)
Robert Conrad 1935-
Ross Martin 1920-1981
Branded
Chuck Conners 1921-1992
Charles Bronson 1921-2003
Not sure if Daniel Boone or Davey Crockett with Fess Parker (1924 - ) qualifiesLast edited by Hawk; October 1st, 2008 at 09:02 PM.

Re: Remembering Old Westerns!
Ok old western fans-what was the series that had a railroad detective with a blonde woman partner? My wife and I have tried for years to remember and can not come up with the show name or the stars.

Re: Remembering Old Westerns!
My dad has got one of John Wayne's furst movies and it's so hokey.
He rides into town and some guy on top of the saloon has a rifle pointed at him. John shoots from the hip and shoots the ground.
The guy on the saloon grabs his heart and falls. It was hilarious.
I LOVE old movies.

Description by OLDIES.com:
Mixing exciting detective-cowboy thrills with historic characters, this Emmy winning western series kept the facts straight, and found ingenious ways to bring Matt Clark within sleuthing distance of the Legends of the West!
Jim Davis stars as Matt Clark, hired to protect the railroad from the most notorious true-life criminals ever to roam the wild, wild, west! Assisted by beautiful agents Frankie Adams (Mary Castle) and Margaret "Jonsey" Jones (Kristine Miller), Clark's adventures pits him against the most infamous of all western outlaws, and some of the most famous television character actors of TV's Golden Age.

Karl
Thank You
This has been one of those questions that always seems to come-up when we are driving long distances and run out of inteligent subjects. Being old western fans for 60 some years we often try to stump the other with things like this.Courage is being scared to death--but saddling up any way. John Wayne
