    Default Marlin XL7

I just found out about this gun today and I am wondering if anyone here has any experience with this model or any other thoughts about it. Thanks in advance!

This is my next rifle . I've been reading about it even before it was out and its supposed to be a wonderful gun. Quite a few articles I have the authors claim that it is the best factory trigger available and its user adjustable. 30-06 XL-7 here i come , of course there may be a handgun purchase or two before I pick it up but Mallins will give me one out the door for 320$ and I haven't really checked anywhere else yet. Theres actually one of the Guntalk podcasts where they talk about it and it gets raved about there as well and again much praise over the trigger. I can see if i can find out which podcast date it was when I go back to work on Monday.

Ok thanks, I was looking online and I came across someone who actually picked one up at Cabela's for 270 for the black synthetic. Fortunately I live only 30 miles from Cabelas so I will probably be going for a 30-06 model on Saturday. If I get it I will let you know how it is.

I've been trying for months to get one in the store. They are very popular right now and hard to get unless you go to a big discount store (cabelas, gander, dicks etc). my distrubutor says they are a steal for the price. Hopefully I can get some in soon. Good luck with it and please let me know how it shoots.

I just purchased my 30-06 model today from Cabela's. For the black stock it was only $289.99 which is the best price that I have seen. I also got a Nikon Pro Staff 3-9x40 scope for it. I will post pictures as soon as I can. I plan on taking it out to the range next week so I will also update everyone on the performance of the rifle.
