Re: bow huntin
I'll be using:
- Mathews Legacy (30" draw / 63 pounds), Copper John Dead Nuts (rock solid sight), WB, Tru Ball release, SIMS stabilizer, Bohning quiver... my hunting accessories haven't changed in 6 years, only the bow keeps changing :P
- Goldtip 5575's cut at 29"
- Muzzy 3 blade 100 gr
I'm using Scent-Away fresh Earth scent for cover and Dead Down Wind for scent elimination. both work very well and are extremly effective.
Hunting out of a Summit X4 climber, I leave nothing in the woods (except the entrails). The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Re: bow huntin
I have a couple of bows. I picked up a PSE stinger during the summer but still don't have it tuned to where I want it. So I'll be using my tried & true Xi Ultramagnum which I bought back in '95 or '96. I have it set up with a whisker biscut, TruGlo sight, & using a True fire release. It's 70lb - 30" draw, 280fps using good ol Muzzy broadheads & Easton Super slam aluminum arrows.
I've had two hang-on stands up since early August, done a lot of scouting, and usually take my climber with me just in case there is a different tree that overlooks an area that looks promising. I really enjoy Archery...sometimes more so than rifle season.

Re: bow huntin
I will if I can. Havn't been scouting/shooting much last three weeks due to being sick... but I'll be in the woods as much as possible. Too bad my illness robbed me of most of my huntin' days off
Anyway.

Re: bow huntin
I have a PSE nova. and use carbon arrows with muzzy 100 gn broadheads. I love it, but was tempted on getting a mathews drenalin, from here on this site after checking one out in bradford last year. I love walk and stalk, so scents and tree stands are a no go with me. I got one ground hog recently with my bow and can't wait to get out deer huntin with it.
