Legal fund for Robert Horst, owner of Firearm Solutions
Hello all! Forgive me if this is the wrong section and I apologize if a post like this isn't usually allowed. It's just that after hearing Rob's story today I got so incensed I had to do something.
My name is Avelino and I've been a years-long member here but for the last few years I've been lurking more than anything else. I wanted to post the link of a GoFundMe campaign I've started for a good friend, Rob Horst of Firearm Solutions. I think a lot of us here in Berks have dealt with Rob as he is both a gun smith and FFL.
Long story short, last year a customer was doing a transaction with Rob at Rob's office. The customer picked up a sheathed knife that Rob told him to leave alone. But before Rob could stop him, the customer cut himself with the knife and had to be rushed to the hospital. The customer is now suing Rob claiming that he was cut after Rob was showing him knife defense techniques. I've known Rob for 7 years now and he is an honest, hard working, small business owner and army war veteran. I know that all claims against him are totally false and will probably be proven so if the case ever goes to court. The problem in the short term is that Rob has to pay legal fees to defend himself until and during that point.
I've set up a GoFundMe campaign to help cover Rob's expenses and thought this would be the best place aside from Facebook to share this. Again, moderators, if I've overstepped myself please let me know. I thought that since there are many firearms owners here in Berks County that would have dealt with and know Rob well that this may be a good place to get the word out. Please share this campaign on your Facebook page or with friends.
The link to the campaign is here: https://www.gofundme.com/robertleehorst
Thank you very much in advance! -Avelino

Its amazing how one can sue another for something he didn't do. I wish the guy luck.

I did a transfer with him a few years back. I'll do what I can.
