CZ-75B Owners who carry ?
I am just wondering how CZ-75B owners (without decocker) carry their 9mm? No round in chamber, cocked and safety on, or half cock no safety on,
From the info i have gathered, it seems that manually decocking to the half cock without the safety on (it won't activate unless fully cocked) is the best way to carry it. ?. CZ guy said this way not only does it have the firing pin lock but also 2 hook type parts that keep the hammer from striking it. I need to get mine apart to see what those hooks are. Seems those blocks may be better than just a safety when fully cocked.
Its a big heavy gun, but it is nice to shoot, that i may consider carrying it at some point in time. I find that i am not comfortable carrying cocked and locked as there isn't an additional safety like a 1911.

Re: CZ-75B Owners who carry ?
The 75B can be safely carried round in the chamber at hammer down, or half cock, or cocked, and locked. The CZ-75's that have a decocker like the 75BD, 75D PCR, and Sp-01 Tactical decock to the half cock notch. With the 75B you just have to manually decock to half cock, or hammer down if that is how you choose to carry.
The half cock gives you a little shorter DA pull.Last edited by Pilot321; April 19th, 2018 at 05:26 PM.

Re: CZ-75B Owners who carry ?
I like condition 1.5 - Half cock with the safety on.
I've never had an issue sweeping the safety off (on most pistols) when drawing. The first guns I carried were a Star M43 and a 70 Series 1911.
It also shortens the long D/A trigger pull on the first shot. Cocking the hammer is easier as well.
Half cock with the safety off would be pretty safe. It still takes a lot of effort for a full trigger pull from half cock.
You could also carry a (post-B) 75 in condition 2 - chambered round/hammer down, because it has firing pin safety.
D-S/A's like the CZ 75 are very versatile. Play around at the range or with some snap-caps, and see what you like best.

Thanks for the video. My cz will not allow safety on when half cocked. only when fully cocked.

Duh! Sorry, you're both correct.
I've been shooting and carrying my Sarsilmaz clones so much that I've grown accustomed to being able to engage the safety at any hammer position.

Carry my 75compact round chambered, hammer down. Usually in a OWB Desantis with thumbbreak.

Round chambered, cocked and locked like a 1911 in an open-top OWB leather holster.

When I carry my SP-01 it's with a round chambered, fully cocked, safety on, OWB.
When I carry my PCR it's with a round chambered, decocked, OWB.Last edited by KPShooting; April 20th, 2018 at 01:15 PM.

Since I am quite accustomed to DA revolvers I normally carry loaded and decocked. Dave_N
