    This should be good.
I don't recall any "grey areas" regarding vehicle transport.

I'll go out on a limb and assume "they" said that people could "open carry" in a vehicle without a LTCF in order to go to the rally.

The genie is out of the bottle now, so someone may as well address it.

I’ll take it one step further and guess that you could carry in a car as long as you carry it the right way. Unloaded and locked away.

Btw.... not to crap on the thread. It is nice to see people getting out in the name of the 2nd.

Fuck it. I don't really care what the drama was about at this point.

Here's some news coverage with a little video and an anti saying she was shocked to see "so many AK-47s" LOL!

Ok here is the way I understand the law and I certainly could be incorrect
    Without a LTCF:
Legal to carry unloaded only in a few situations
    -bringing home from purchasing
    - to a gun range to shoot
    - to a gun class
    - to a gun store to sell/trade/fix etc
There are others (hunting) but the 3 main I discussed weee above

And no stopping in between from one point to the other - no gas stop or pee stop
Or it’s a misdemeanor 1 or if the person would not be able to obtain a LTCF due to whatever reason (prohibited)
It would be a felony in that instance

And regarding transport (also interstate) is allowed only if moving the firearm from one place of abode to another like a winter home to a summer home where you will be staying - inaccessible in a lock box with ammo separate stored .

Also during a state of emergency I thought only with a LTCF can you carry openly
Or concealed Philly is the exception. Which you cannot do but this part of am not positive on Re philly

No firearms at all In Maryland, NY even passing thru. And no stopping at all with containered firearm when passing thru sc

I have read some of the laws but it is just to confusing to really understand for me - I have the most recent book of PA laws picked up last week from Daryl Mercalfe’s office but it’s in legalese to me.

We talked for a short bit and left saying I need to check on my info as I didn’t agree

Anyhow, that’s how I understand it. I need to find out if anything is incorrect here.

It was a good day overall. Except now I have a new respect for those in service carrying those heavy ARs or whatever they have with all their gear/clothing especially in heat How do they do that ?

I had this argument with one of the organizers on the facebook page about them saying no LTCF was needed. Yes they thought that as long as it was unloaded and locked up it would be ok. I did explain that that was incorrect and without a LTCF you can only transport from home to and from a range/ gun shop. That it was not legal to drive to the march pull firearm from trunk and carry

Edit: just went back to the facebook page and they did delete my conversation about that. WTF is wrong with them? Bad information from a gun person is more damaging to our cause than the anti's

    LOL! Heavy?
Imagine the poor bastards in Korea and WWII who carried full size battle rifles.
    Respect, indeed.

They said that a LTCF is not needed to open carry during a state of emergency and that a LTCF would not be needed to transport a firearm loaded or unloaded to open carry at this event.

Thanks. Figured that was the case.

Is there a link to this "event"? Nothing was ever posted here.
