I own a business and occasionally cashier. I HATE when customers come up to pay and are too busy on their phones to simply say hello or have any type of human communication. I have seen some customers in Targetmaster that are absolute boneheads that I wouldn't want to have to deal with but they are the minority as most people in there are generally nice. As far as pricing goes......all you have to do is ask. If Tanners or Gun Broker is cheaper I'm sure they will do their best to compete. Speaking of Tanners, I personally didn't care for the place, and TSS is a gun range as they don't have many guns there.
What did you not like about Tanners exactly? I live real close the the place, like 20 minutes and never not one time had I had a customer service issue (17 years of patronage) even when it is packed with no available parking left. The staff greets everyone who walks in with integrity and respect no matter what you look like even if your from NJ. Their prices on used guns are amazing 95% of the time and they have sales on new guns that are popular not just ones that barely anyone has ever heard of. They have sales on accessories and ammo too. So what exactly is there not to like?

Lol. No. Brunette with glasses. Looks like a woman that made someone very happy the day the divorce was final.

Much rather look at guns than year old Good Housekeeping magazines in the waiting room.

You get a flavor for the place before you even walk in. There are signs all over the parking lot that say "Tagetmaster parking ONLY, all others will be towed". Right at the door there is a sign that spells out their dress code! A dress code at a shooting range? Now I've heard everything. I was there just to look around rather than to shoot, so I don't know what you go through to use their range these days. Gun prices were pretty much what I would expect - full list on new guns, top end on used. After all, they have a little more overhead than the guy who rents a table at a gun show. Also, they did have some interesting used guns, stuff you don't see at an average gun store (Nambu pistol, several P-38's, Lugers, Sauer pistols).

    Anybody else been there recently?
I've been going there since they opened in late 1990's - mainly to use the range. Parking sign because you have Good Will on one side and a rental car agency on another. Owner pays rent or owns his property - either way he's looking out for his customers. Dress code sign for a reason - some folks come with loose fitting shirts flip flops etc. Also keeps trouble from happening (ie gang colors). There are a lot more stricter places (try Delaware COunty field and stream for example) to shoot. On the bright side, you can shoot reloads, machine guns, rifle, shotguns, use your own ammo (except 223/556 and certain steel & lead) and shoot as fast as you like as long as your safe and not all over the place. Most places have 2 second rule between shots. Prices aren't low like Tanners - but its a free world to shoot and buy from whom you like. I've never had a problem with staff or the facility.

Been hearing adds on the radio that Targetmaster is holding a gun buyback promotion and are offering up to $500 for some guns. Not sure of what angle they're trying by this. Are they trying to help curb gun violence or just a way to boost thier used gun inventory. Hmmm

Trying to make this anything other than a way to boost their used gun inventory, which happens to be the most profitable category in any gun store, is irresponsible.

Just went online to see what their lane rental rates look like - haven't been to this place in probably 15 or20 years - and learned they're a members only range now. What the what? When did that mess start?

I purchased my first ever firearm/handgun from them, Sig p229 9mm. I specifically wanted P229 but nothing else. Before I went in for a purchase, I called about 5-6 gun shop that were in 75mile radius. Their price was lowest.
There were some ordeal until I actually had a sig box in my hand but none was their fault.
I also purchased a Remington 870 from them sometime later after that, and yet again, they had it at lowest price.
My experience with them was nothing but good.

Oh man, I still remember that afternoon vividly, first firearm purchase, and that's 12years ago.
