carlisle pd called for man with a gun in the store
i went to the store to get some stuff for dinner. and wouldn't ya know someone called the cops on me for oc . guess who showed up the officer i spoke to the other night and 5 yea 5 of his fellow Leo. when he walked up to me he said see i told ya someone would call us.i said sorry to wast your time . he went and told the other officers he knew me and that everything was fine. they got in their car i got in my truck and we went ower separate ways. all in all a good day.

Never, ever gonna happen. If the police have the same things to say about dispatch as we do in EMS, then nothing will ever help. We constantly get called out class 1, which for those not familiar is a
condition with immediate threat of loss of life and or limb" You know a real emergency. But we get sent out class 1 for things like a breathing problem, which actually turns out to be a splinter, but because the "victim" is according to the caller is not breathing normally.
No matter how many times we ask, tey will not deviate from those damned cards they read thru. Dispatchers are not allowed to think, they just listen to the caller and do what the little card in the rolodex tells them to and, I'm sure the card says "Guns=Send everyone"..
