CRAMMING FOR NATIONALS

This Saturday, September 27, the Lower Providence Rod and Gun club will be
having its monthly IDPA match.

There will be four stages and the cost for the match is $12.

Setup begins at 9am. First shot will be at 11am. Shooters new to IDPA or
those wishing a refresher should plan to attend a brief safety and rules
class by 10:30.

Our matches are always on a cold range which means that all guns on the
participants are empty unless they are on the firing line waiting to shoot. If
you carry a gun to the match, please see any safety officer who will be happy
to show you how to safety clear your gun.

All gun handling and dry firing off of the line will be conducted in the marked
safe area. No ammunition or loaded magazines are allowed in the safe area.

Note:
New shooters should arrive early for a safety check, and a brief overview of
the stages, and rules of engagement.

The new shooter will be asked to demonstrate safe and effective Gun handling
BEFORE he/she will be allowed to shoot the match. If the Safety Officer feels
that the shooter does not posses the ability to safely handle a firearm in the
match, the new shooter may be asked to come back at a later date once he/she
has gotten the proper basic classes in Firearm safety, and Gun handling. Every
effort will be made to allow the new shooter to participate in the match, but
is NOT guaranteed. The objective of our matches is for the shooters to have
FUN, while developing their skills. But more importantly, the shooter must be
Safe.

Thank you for you understanding.

It would also be a good idea for new shooters to check out the
Easton Tactical Ops New IDPA Shooter web site at
http://www.eastontacticalops.com/manual.html but it is not a
substitute for a safety briefing. It just might make it
easier to understand.

If you have not tried it go to www.idpaforum.com and check
out the IDPA Forum. Lots of good info and great people
including announcements about other matches.
