Dueling
Still legal...? Perhaps so. Look.
State and territorial laws prohibiting dueling

The remaining 30 states either have no such statute or constitutional provision, or limit their dueling prohibition to members of their state national guard. Re: Dueling
If it was only legal!
I don't know about all of you but I know a few people that deserve to be called out.........
It is my belief that if we truly still had dueling then we wouldn't need the number of laws, police or lawyers we have today!

Re: Dueling
I would be so busy dealing with dueling I would at least have to take two weeks off to get through everyone. And then keep one day open per week. -BB

Re: Dueling
Just because it isn't illegal directly, it doesn't mean its not an offense under another law - like: assault, (attempted) homicide, reckless endangerment, etc..

Re: Dueling
I think two people should be allowed to duel if they so choose as long as the only two people in danger at any time are themselves. The reservations to becoming a participant in a duel would certainly usher in a new era of politeness.
See dueling is one of those things that I personally think is silly, but I also believe that so long as its mutually consentual between two adults I have no right to interfere. It would take an insult of epic proportions to convince me to duel as opposed to simply removing the person from my life. Then again there are two times in my life where I felt slighted enough that if dueling was an option I would have pursued it; unfortunatly I know one time would have ended with me in a casket so I guess I'm lucky“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!” ~Samuel Adams
