Chuck Baldwin Endorsed By Ron Paul

Constitution Party’s Chuck Baldwin Set To Dent ‘Big Box’ Candidates
Grand Rapids, MI (September 22, 2008) Former GOP presidential candidate, Texas Congressman Ron Paul announced today he is endorsing Constitution Party presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin. (www.campaignforliberty.com)
In a letter to supporters, Paul wrote, “I’m supporting Chuck Baldwin, the Constitution Party candidate.”
Paul went on to say, “There is no real choice between the two major parties and their nominees, only the rhetoric varies. The amazingly long campaign is designed to make sure the real issues are ignored.”
Baldwin, a conservative commentator, columnist and pastor of a church in Pensacola, FL, campaigned for Ron Paul during the congressman’s run for president. After receiving Paul’s endorsement, Baldwin said, “I am humbled and deeply grateful to Dr. Paul for his support. There could not be higher praise. I am committed to carrying on the Ron Paul Revolution for a return to constitutionally limited government.
The www.constitutionparty.com, is poised to offer voters a viable alternative to the two parties now controlling our government.
Baldwin noted, “Ron Paul’s message resonated with people across the political spectrum. Likewise, our campaign embraces Americans of diverse political ideologies, spiritual paths and socio-economic groups - all who recognize the urgency of a return to the Constitution and the principles of personal liberty that document defines.”
Baldwin, appearing recently on CNN’s Lou Dobb’s Tonight program was told by Dobbs: (Baldwin’s view on immigration reform issues) was “a good reason to vote for you, I like that reason." (Click here for a transcript, and HERE for a YouTube clip of the show.)
Baldwin appeared at a recent Washington DC press conference with Congressman Ron Paul. Paul spoke about the need to bypass the two major party candidates this November and instead vote for a candidate such as Chuck Baldwin. See YouTube clip HERE.) Like Paul, Baldwin has taken a stand against unconstitutional foreign intervention, such as the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Both Baldwin and Paul have called for abolishing the IRS and the Federal Reserve, have spoken out against the recent financial “bailouts” and against unauthorized trade “agreements” such as NAFTA and GATT. Chuck Baldwin supports Congressman Ron Paul’s ‘Sanctity of Life legislation’,(H.R. 2597) opposing abortion, has received an ‘A’ rating from Gun Owners of America and an “excellent” grade from pro-secure borders group Numbers USA.

Sorry but no thanks. Chuck Baldwin knows nothing about economics. He's the guy who thinks that if you just add tarriffs to all imports, all the jobs will stay in the U.S. Ask Bush how that works. He tried that with steel once. It would have shellshocked the country because we don't make everything.

How will we pay for our military with no income tax?

I'm terribly disappointed in this endorsement. I don't think Paul should have endorsed any candidate especially not out of spite.

Oh well, that's how the game goes but I certainly will not vote for a Baldwin ticket. Keep your bible out of my Whitehouse.

That's another point I purposely left out. I was not confident on the source but I read that he was not able to separate church and state. Having a belief / faith is no issue, it's just when you chose to impose it that causes problems.

And yet McCain is a man who by his own admission knows nothing about economics.

However, I'm not bullish on this endorsement. Too bad Paul lost his balls.

Big difference. McCain doesn't dream up proposals that are simply counter-productive and outright damaging. Instead he advises listenting to people like "Romney, Bloomberg, and Buffett."

Nobody knows everything but the first part is knowing enough to realize what you don't know.

Also for a guy that doesn't know anything about the economy he was pretty sharp in his 2005 comments on the bill that got stalled regarding stricter oversight on Freddy and Fannie.

Paul has done a lot lately to loose my respect. The whole "reject the two party system" crap while still running as a Republican in TX because he wouldn't have a chance if he ran as an Independant really pissed me off. This endorsment smacks of sour grapes. I have said it before, but he is proving to me that they are ALL politicians and as politicians ALL of them have an agenda and should not be trusted. I wonder if he is hoping that Obama wins so he can then say to the Republican party "See I told you so. You should have chosen me." Sort of like Hildabeast is hoping McCain wins.

I've heard that statement from McCain and others many, many times but I have to say that I am not concerned by that in the least. The President can not be knowledgable about all topics but they can bring in advisors who are amongst the tops in their fields. From what I've seen of McCain's advisors he can do better but I would wager that if he gets to fill a cabinet it will be filled with names that are amongst the tops to be reckoned(sp?) with in their various fields.

    Sorry for the hijack.
