    Default TiteGroup smokey??

Loaded up some 9mm, 147gr lead SWC, with 3.2gr TiteGroup. Fired them off at an indoor range and noticed they are pretty smokey. Anyone had that experience with TiteGgroup?

what brand bullets? Like Duke said, most of the smoke with lead bullets comes from the lube.

I heard that happens with Titegroup and lead. I use lead coated and Titegroup and there's not much smoke at all.

I've used both coated and uncoated with Titegroup and I concur - it's probably the lube.

My father's SWC .45 LC loads are always a bit smokey. Might just be the lube burning off.

Titegroup for me is always very clean and definitely not smokey, but I don't shoot lead with it.

Titegroup burns hot if I remember so it is probably burning the lube and maybe cutting into the bullet. I only use it with copper plated bullets and I notice no smoke at all really.

i have heard that lead bullets are smoky and that smg with lead look like back powder . i thought indoor ranges did not allow unjacked bullets .
