    Nice gun EM,

My BIL has 4 leverguns. I think 3 are in .357 and one is 30-30.

I have a marlin 336 I got for $75 about 20years ago. It had 2 boxes of shells through it and the guy had a used Bushnell on it. It is in exactly the same configuration now and my son has shot 2 deer with it. I may very well give up on the 300 Win Mag I won last year and start using the 30-30 as a backup to my Ruger Redhawk this rifle season.

He shoots 3 or 4 deer a year with the .357's

He is extremely recoil sensitive and this rifle fits his bill.

You can probably get a police tradein S&W model 66 or 19 in .357 for just around $300. Not in excellent condition, but shootable.

I have a 336A in 30-30 that I use for hunting. My Dad bought it at auction about 20 years ago. In the spring I shot 3 shots at about 75 yards and although they were about 1inch to the right they all touched. When I find the pic of the target I will post it.

    P.S: Nice choice of caliber!!

Great looking rifle! I love lever actions as well. the last gun I bought was a wedding gift to myself, a Winchester 1894 .44mag Trapper. I would really love to get a .357mag, very sweet little rifles!

Congrats, very nice piece. I have a 336 in 30-30 since I was 12. Just picked up another 336 in 35 Remington last week. Love those little rifles!!
