Re: Bond Arms
They had a promotion at the end of the year. You could have gotten one direct at lower price. They were telling everyone they were going to go stocking dealer with a price raise in January.

Re: Bond Arms
I wonder if Bond worked out the reliability issues that plagued the original Boberg. The Boberg was ammo picky - Bond has a list of "approved" ammo because the gun has a tendency to pull insufficiently crimped rounds apart due to it's feeding mechanism. Unless Bond figured out a way around it, when a jam occurs, there's no quick field strip to clear it.
It's a neat gun, but it's too expensive considering there are a dozen other pocket 9mm handguns that fit the bill for half to a third of the price. If I were to buy one, I don't know that I'd rely on it as my primary carry gun. Maybe a backup or have a backup in case.

Re: Bond Arms
Apparently they solved some of the reliability issues, the esoteric lube issue, but the bullet separation issue with poorly crimped rounds still stands, as it's not a QC item under their control. Really it's not that big a deal if you stick with SKUs that don't have the problem, of which there are plenty that aren't stupid expensive. Federal's AE9AP, AE9FP, AE9DP SKUs are on that list, and those were had for cheap recently (with rebate.)
