3 cities sue DoD over gun violence.
NEW YORK – Three large U.S. cities filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday against the Department of Defense, arguing that many service members who are disqualified from gun ownership weren't reported to the national background check system.
New York City, San Francisco and Philadelphia said in court papers that the military's broken system for relaying such information helped spur the massacre of 26 people inside a Texas church last month.
"This failure on behalf of the Department of Defense has led to the loss of innocent lives by putting guns in the hands of criminals and those who wish to cause immeasurable harm," New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said in a statement. "New York City is joining Philadelphia and San Francisco to stand up to the Department of Defense and demand they comply with the law and repair their drastically flawed system."
The lawsuit names the armed forces individually, as well as the Department of Defense, Defense Secretary Jim Mattis and several other officials.

If these leftist utopias would spend the money, time and effort of putting and keeping actual criminals in jail and reducing their taxes on hard working individuals they might be able to actually reduce crime. The choose instead of using tactics that are designed as a political tool to express their demented ideologies. No crime is ever prevented and criminals still roam the streets unhindered because they also use crime as a tool to keep their masses under their thumbs as they do with poverty and poor education.
Corruption is the default behavior of government officials. JPC

I dont know where San Fransisco gets its balls.
They just let a murderer go free who admitted to killing an innocent young woman in public."One must be a fox to recognize traps, and a lion to frighten wolves” ~ Machiavelli

Demand they comply with the law!?!?!? That's a good one!. Each of those cities seems to ignore any federal law they don't like.I don't speak English , I talk American!

Re: 3 cities sue DoD over gun violence.
If San Fran can sue the DOD for failing to "protect" their city, then why can't the Steinle family sue San Fran for failing to protect their daughter/wife?

Re: 3 cities sue DoD over gun violence.
I truly despise these cities and I believe they're just looking to make a quick buck from the DoD. Regardless of how I feel about these cities though, the Texas church shooter wasn't reported to NICs, and that failure ultimately allowed him to purchase his weapons to carry out that massacre. The DoD does need to be held accountable for that error IMO.
