Default No hunting in the Poconos ?

In today's Bucks County Intelligencer (POS Lib rag) the Travel section is an Advertising venue for all things Poconos.
There must be a rule for not advertising HUNTING because there is not one single reference to HUNTING as an activity in the Poconos. Not in any of the ads from the dozens of establishments who are in the section. Everything else from soup to nuts, fishing, hiking, canoeing etc. etc. etc. Half the freaking land there was paid for by hunters. What a joke.

Kinda ties in with this post: http://www.pafoa.org/forum/national-...-drumbeat.html

Or is there no hunting in PocoNOhunting?

There is oodles of hunting lands in the poconos.
The paper's bias is obviously the issue.

I hunt the Poconos every year. The ads are designed for the NY Yuppie type of liberal people who don't like guns. If they knew guns would be in the Poconos, they won't go and spend their money.

May also have to do with the kind of newspaper it is... the average vactioning couple coming to the Pocono's for a few days isn't going to go hunting. Most people will go for a week to do that, hire guides... etc
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Hunting and fishing is alive and well throughout the Pocono`s. The tourism people don`t push it because it doesn`t bring in the revenues that gambling, honeymooners and waterparks and skiing do.
Years ago there were lot`s of hunting cabins up here but since land became valuable there are less and less but still lot`s of land to hunt.

Just trying to point out the anti-hunting bias in the media.
