Dear Congressperson, Senator, Representative
It has become apparent that killers, as a result of excellent gun control measures, are being forced to turn to using motor vehicles to inflict mass casualties and deaths on others.
May I suggest that something be done about bicyclists? Bicyclists group together and ride in numbers, sometimes large numbers, in designated bicycle lanes.
Bicycle lanes exist alongside and parallel with motor vehicle highways. A motor vehicle can be driven at any time by a driver intent upon driving into and over bicyclists.
I think laws are needed to address this ever-present potentially grievous paradigm. Judging by the superb results of the 20,000 guns laws, bicycle laws should be a huge help with the present-day problem.
Stronger laws need to be passed to keep drivers from leaving the highway and entering a bicycle lane for any length of time or distance when bicyclists on bicycles are present.
There needs to be law requiring bicyclists having registration plates on their bikes, and possess pedal-bicycle operator’s licenses.
Riding in groups no larger than five would reduce injuries and deaths from killers using motor vehicles in place of the firearms that are so well guarded by gun laws.
Persons renting a motor vehicle should be required to fill out a form similar to the form 4473 that gun purchasers submit. Intent to use the vehicle to deliberately cause harm to another should be one of the questions. Any untruthful answer to that question should be a federal crime preventing any future rentals, for life.
Thank you for your interest in this matter.

These high speed vehicles do not belong on our streets. Companies rent these heavy death machines to customers who wreak havoc on our nation's roads. No one needs fuel injections, nitrous or other devices that speed up the vehicle and enhance its performance. Just think, a high capacity, high performance vehicle with better tires can turn and kill more people! The speed combined with the inertia does not help matters. We need our government to put 20 mph governors on all new vehicles and pre-existing ones. No grandfathering. If we can just save one life by doing this- the billions of dollars we will spend will be worth it. We must think about our children. ban and regulate automobiles!!!!
Grade A bullshit from the politically correct right there. F****** hypocrites.

Box truck rentals?!?? No one needs a truck with more than 10 cubic feet to haul groceries!
Trucks with mufflers are too deadly quiet, just like in the movies. Only assassins drive muffled trucks! Trucks capable of accepting a muffler should be banned! If you want a truck with a muffler, you should need to submit fingerprints, passport photos, and a complicated form in triplicate, (noting the serial number, length, diameter, make and model of the muffler), pay $200 excise tax, notify your Chief Law Enforcement Officer, pass a federal background check, and wait 9-12+ months for your muffler stamp to arrive.I am not a lawyer.

Wheels need to be regulated too. They allow the perp to travel way to fast, beyond what is reasonable in a peaceful setting. Wheels are alse very quiet, like a muffler. Maybe we should go back to dirt and stone road ways...better chance of hearing someone traveling at a high rate of speed towards you. I am thinking we should install air bags all around the outside of rental vehicles too, with a people sensor. If someone gets the wrong idea at least the airbags and sensor will help protect those not traveling on dirt roads with speedy wheels on their cars or trucks.

A truck was the tool of destruction in the Islamic terror attack in Nice, France. After that attack, some lefty French politician suggested that all trucks should be equipped with remotely operated "kill switches" so that police could shut down the engines. This is not a joke.
Lefties always have some idea about a new technological gizmo that will prevent terror. In the USA they demand "smart guns", "micro-stamping" and other such useless measures. What the lefty will never do is admit they are wrong about the real problem which is pursuing suicidal policies allowing the importation of terrorists breeding populations from Islamic nations.

Round wheels are too fast and too quiet
All civilian vehicles should require speed reducing square wheels
