Default Corporate Executives, Parasites on capitalism

I found this article quite interesting, basically saying the corporate executives that get these outrageous salaries are in fact a parasite on a given corporation.

Thought it might stir up some interesting conversation to say the least

I just read somewhere that in the US we have the highest difference between workforce pay and CEO pay in the world. CEO`s have lost touch. When companies go broke or do illegal things CEO`s should walk away with nothing. How can a company go under and employees and investors lose their life savings and these CEO`s walk away with millions.
They should earn what they produce and if the ship goes down so should they. Did you see the money they CEO`s in the valley make?

I think when corporate America went to less of a meritocracy to a mediocracy we started this slide into shit we are in. Those that risk the least and make the fewest decisions are the ones that get promoted.

that is a good analogy.. the parasites survive even after the host dies.

meanwhile, the average workers are working harder while falling behind faster.

To paraphrase Andrew Ryan, founder of the City of Rapture,

Is a Man not entitled to the sweat of his own brow?
No, says the man in Washington, it belongs to the POOR!
No, says the man in the Vatican, it belongs to GOD!
No, says the man in Executive Boardroom, it belongs to ME!
The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but believe me, it's on the damned list.

I see nothing wrong with CEO's or anyone else getting as much as they can.

What i dont understand is what value they really bring to a company to justify some of these salaries.

If the BOD are stupid enough to pay the guy to play golf, well good for him...
