    Default Transfer question

I am sure this will annoy some. But I am not up to date on gun laws anymore. I used to hunt when I was younger intill I was randomly shot at while working a field with a dog. I lost interest in hunting and guns at that point. Well I acquired a liking again to own a gun again cause hell why not. I enjoyed shooting trap and just having a hobby. I am looking at picking up a custom built ar. This will be off a wv resident. I am a pa resident of course. What do I need to do so that gun is legal.

Welcome back to the world of guns, Disko22. And don't mind the ignorant posts; not all gun owners are a-holes.

To answer your simple question, if the seller were also a PA resident (and assuming you are both non-prohibited) you could just buy his AR face-to-face if you wanted to (maybe with a bill of sale to protect you both). Since he lives in another state however, you have to use an FFL. You could have him ship the rifle to an FFL in PA or you could meet him at one in either state. Here's a link: http://forum.pafoa.org/showthread.php?t=216393

So long story short, you have to have the AR transferred to you at an FFL.

It will need to be transferred to you at an FFL (i.e. a gun store) at either state.

I find the OP's story unbelievable. He got shot when Semi-autos weren't allowed to be used.

He couldn't have been shot because there weren't semi-autos used. Remember, using semi-autos makes hunting dangerous and woods will run red with blood all because of semi-autos.
