Contacted Ruger
I purchased an American Compact 9mm about 7 weeks ago. There's been no time to get to the range with it, maybe in the Fall. Anyway, I took the pistol out of the case today to replace the plastic striker guide and spring with Galloway Precision parts. It was a quick job and when I put the striker cap back onto the pistol, I noticed the cap had a piece missing. I sent Ruger an email at 4:30 PM and hoped to hear from them some time next week. Well, before 5 PM, Ruger sent me an email asking for my address so they could send another cap. Granted, it shouldn't be broken to begin with...but stuff happens...so overall I'd say it was a good experience. This is my fourth Ruger and really like all of them. I could become a Ruger snob (if I had more money).

Yep +1 Ruger customer service is some of the best. They have no problem replacing parts with very few questions, pretty much your name, address and what part do you need.

Re: Contacted Ruger
Wow, they already sent me another email saying the 'order' has been processed - the striker cap is on its way. It doesn't really get much better than this. Nice...esp for a big company.

I did the Galloway striker guide upgrade on my Beretta Nano. They make nice stuff and it was easy work replacing the plastic striker guide.

Re: Contacted Ruger
I sent my SR9 to them in June for an FTE/Double feed issue that I couldn't fix or figure out and not for lack of trying. Within 4 days of sending it, I had it back with a new trigger assembly, cam block, extractor, several other parts and "repair" to the barrel and something else, not sure. I have the paperwork saved in the case it came with, I like to keep paperwork and files on items that are important to me-which includes all my firearms.
Ruger is top notch. Wouldn't hesitate to contact them or purchase more firearms in the future.

Re: Contacted Ruger
Had an issue where my Ruger LC9s Pro would lock the slide open after the first round. Called them on a Monday morning and explained what was happening, the ammo I used, along with other details from my own testing. Within a few minutes they emailed a return address label free of charge. Shipped it off from a FedEx location and got it back the following Monday!
Took it to the range and no more issues. Even got a letter explaining what they fixed and the parts (and magazines) they replaced. I'm not even the original owner!
Very impressed. I don't have a lot of Ruger's in my line-up, but customer service was phenomenal."A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves." ― Edward R. Murrow
