Winchester Model 94 Large Loop Lever

I have a current production Winchester 94 and would like to put a large loop lever on it. My local dealer had a Winchester OEM large loop lever in stock and after trying to fit it, discovered after calling Winchester that the "old parts" don't fit on the newer Miroku produced 94s. Does anyone know of a third party that is making them custom or have a solution other than "forget about it"?

How much different is it? Can the old one be fitted? It would be interesting to see a side by side picture.

I'm not sure of the specific differences, I was down near Otter Creek and in the middle of nowhere when he called and had spotty cell phone reception. I'm picking it up tomorrow so I should have more details then.

I've already ordered a replacement lever that I'm going to send to them...that was my "plan B".

I had a chance to speak to my dealer today about this. He said that the lever fit and worked the bolt fine, and the trigger worked as well. However, it would not raise the shell lifter to load a new round into the chamber. Based on what he saw without completely tearing the rifle apart, he would have had to add material to some of the internal parts as it looked like they were slightly slimmer/smaller than the pre-Miroku built guns.
