Molot-Oruzhie added to sanctions, VEPR's BANNED
Tried the search, didn't see this posted yet.

The US Department Of Treasury released an update to the sanction list in connection to the Russian – Ukranian conflict today and it appears that as a result of the change to sanctions the US has banned VEPR rifles and shotguns from further import. Well not really banned, but United States based businesses are prohibited from doing business with Molot-Oruzhie going forward. I imagine that any products that have been purchased already and are in the process of import will be available for purchase, but anything past that will become very scarce like the Saiga rifles and shotguns several years ago.

Re: Molot-Oruzhie added to sanctions, VEPR's BANNED
Sad to see it happen. I picked up a used Vepr12 from Lanco Tactical a little while back because it was a cool gun and a good price. Then the bankruptcy talk hit and I went "well even if it's nothing glad I bought it." Now with this happening I'm really glad I bought it. Debating if I want to pick up another OEM mag or two, and what spare parts I want (thinking gas piston, firing pin/spring, and extractor). If you're on the fence about getting one do it, they are awesome guns and you'll love shooting it. If you already have a Vepr12 or Vepr rifle, make sure to grab what you need as some internals do not interchange with normal AKM/74/Saiga12 rifles.

Don't forget to grab any Molot shotgun chokes and muzzle brakes as well. CSSpecs makes amazing magazines, for now. I actually prefer them over the plastic OEM mags for my V12.

Supply and demand. Will demand remain, or will a substitute having more attractiveness replace it... first, obtain crystal ball...

This post will be controversial- but I don't care. This is another example of federal back-door gun control- and this time it is under the TRUMP administration. He's ultimately responsible- and I have a feeling he is going to let this slip. This is why I did not vote for him- because of his flip flop stance on the issue of guns. I don't care how 'pro-2a' he claims to be. Politicians are shit stains and slimeballs. This issue with banning the VEPRs pisses me off, royally.

I think the odds are close to zero that anyone had "guns" in mind when drawing up sanctions against another country.
