York Sheriff's "Reminders"
The York Co. Sheriff's instructions for a concealed weapons permit is followed by a page entitled "A Reminder on Firearms Responsibility From Sheriff Rich Keuerleber".
In this letter applicants are asked to please consider the following as it relates to your firearms license:
2. Overt and unnecessary display of your firearm in public places can cause alarm to the public and may result in revocation of your permit.
9. If you are carrying a firearm and come into contact with a Law Enforcement Officer, follow all instructions you are given. Do not make any sudden moves, keep your hands visible, and notify the officer immediately that you have a firearms license and a firearm on your person.
Then it closes by calling these "considerations".
I thought there was no law making open carry illegal and also that there was precident set to support that.
I also thought that we did not have to notify an officer, but if asked obviously we must be truthful.
Seems like this friendly reminder is full of false information.
For the record, "Overt" means "open to view" based on Merriam-Webster's definition. Basically this says open carry will jeopardize your LTCF.

Re: York Sheriff's "Reminders"
The thing is, it states "Overt AND unneccessary display"...
This suggests that both conditions must apply. Apparently overt display in and of itself is not grounds per the sentence.
Just thought that interesting. It is you. You have all the weapons that you need. Now fight. --Sucker Punch
