No ambi safety, leaving us southpaws out in the cold once again. Damn it Ruger, get with the fucking program.

Yeah what gives?! I'd own an SR1911 by now if not for that. And installing one myself makes it more cost effective to just buy a different model.

However happy to see yet another option from Ruger... They certainly have alot of firearms to choose from...

While I'm a huge 10mm fanboy and love seeing more guns chambered in the cartridge there is no way I'm paying 1k for a Ruger. To many other options close in price for a better gun.

    Same goes for the Kimber.

    Kind of my opinion.

I want front strap checkering and some other things for that price and it being a ruger.

I agree with you but the "Suggested Retail price" is rarely the actual LGS or GunBroker or Buds price. I am hoping that the $1000 price tag comes down several hundred dollars. I've been saving for a Dan Wesson in 10MM and see a nice Sig in 10 MM for $900. But if Ruger comes in closer to the cost of the SR1911 in 45 ACP and they are readily available in the next year, This will most likely be my first 10MM.

They're on gunbroker right now for $800. For a little more you could get the Sig TacOps in 10mm with ambi safety AND front checkering.

Does anyone actually pay MSRP for their new guns anymore? Might want to find a different shop if you do.
