Default WaPo/Mother Jones article on mass shootings. Good numbers to use against grabbers.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/graph...gs-in-america/

They weeded out the gang-bangers and other-crime related murders. This is the spree killer numbers according to them.

In 51 years there have been 889 deaths. That's it. So when all these people freak out about mass shootings, they're more than twice as likely to die from a lightning strike. They're headline grabbing, they aren't common and they aren't an epidemic.

In one year, approximately 1.5 times more people die from stabbings than have died in 51 years of mass shootings.

And apparently the laws that the antis keep pushing would have done nothing to stop Hodgkinson who went through background checks to get his guns. Hmmmm go figure.

The FBI recovered both guns used by James T. Hodgkinson, the Illinois man who opened fire at a congressional baseball practice in Alexandria, Va., on Wednesday, wounding five people, including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise.

The shooter’s weapons found at the scene, a 9 mm handgun and a 7.62 caliber rifle, were both purchased lawfully and there was no evidence to suggest otherwise, police and FBI investigators said. Hodgkinson had a valid Firearms Owner’s ID.

Investigators believed Hodgkinson, 66, did not have any outside support and acted on his own, a law enforcement official told Fox News. He was killed in a shootout with Capitol Police officers who had been guarding Scalise at the Eugene Simpson Stadium.

SHOOTING SPURS CALLS FOR NEW LAWMAKER SECURITY MEASURES

Officials were aware Hodgkinson was living out of a white cargo van in Alexandria for months and was seen showering and working on a computer at a nearby YMCA. Investigators were looking into why Hodgkinson came to the Washington, D.C. area in the first place, and how much premeditation was involved. The FBI said it was processing a computer, camera and phone found in the van.

“While the FBI and our federal, state and local partners continue to investigate and process the scene and evidence, we also continue to encourage the public to come forward with any information on the shooter,” the FBI said.

Hodgkinson told the YMCA on Tuesday that he wanted to cancel his membership because he was moving, the YMCA said in a statement. He had access to the facility through Wednesday and arrived less than two hours before the shooting.

Tried to view, but my computer bogs down on most news sites these days. Prob all the video and ads that are crammed in any given page.

I got as far as the comment that guns are the common denominator and gave up.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

You're presuming that the average person has the mental faculties to be able to view, understand, and interpret those numbers and statistics. In reality, all they will be able to come up with is "See, look at all of those shootings."
