Default XDS 45 pocket 45 auto

I prefer all metal guns. 1911s and revolvers.

More and more I find myself needing small and light for carry. As I get more involved with activities with my young daughter, a full sized pistol is becoming impractical.

I like 45, and the only true pocket 45 is the XDS. Tried one at the LGS, and decided to come home with it.

I hate polymer, but it is what it is: the smallest and lightest 45 launcher available. I do like the fiber optic front site.

It seems well made. Hopefully it's reliable for carry. A pocket 45 is a cool thing to have.

    Anyone have one? Thoughts?

Ive heard nothing but rave reviews of any of the XD pistols. Interested to hear about it when you get it out to the range!

Have one, it's fantastic. Put in a PRP trigger kit and it's even better

That being said, it takes a back seat to my Shield 45, which handles recoil better, more capacity, amazingly accurate and made in America. Not to mention the ridiculous price until the end of the month

My son has one. I have the 9mm version. Great gun. I enjoy shooting it. My 9 moves the steel plates. His 45 rocks them.

Glad to hear it's been reliable for you guys. I read a few reviews that indicated problems with light primer strikes.

Hopefully mine runs 100 percent. It's a perfect size for carry

I don't actually own one but I have a friend who does and I've shot it some but more so I've observed him shooting it. I don't think I've ever seen a shot fired that didn't require him to adjust his grip on the gun. We're not allowed to rapid fire at my range but that would be a better test. Best of luck on the purchase, the only way to know that it works 100% is to get out there and shoot the hell out of it, enjoy.

I had one. No issues feeding or accuracy, but I'll be damned it hurt to put through an entire box of 50 rounds! Sold it and carry a Ruger LC9s Pro as a replacement. It's not .45 any more, but I found the XDs in .45 was just too small for the caliber, at least for me.
