When it reopened there was target holders at 25 ,50 and 100 yards. People were shooting pistols at 25 yards.

They added the 25 yard pistol the last time they did the refresh on the range.

Are the target backers fixed at 25 yards or can you move them to 7-10-15 yards? I was hoping to help a new shooter, but I don't think learning at 25 yards is a good idea.

The last time I saw them (which was before they were removed then apparently replaced) they were mounted on planted utility poles.

The 25 yard target holders are fixed. Not allowed - "Discharge a firearm at any target other than a paper target placed on a permanent target backboard mounted by the Commission." From Online rules.

Yes, it would be nice to bring a portable target holder to use, at a closer yardage.

Northern Chester County Sportsman's Club (NCCSC) is in open membership at this time. I do not know how many slots they have available but they're not far from that state range and their rules are not unreasonable. From what I hear of other ranges their rules seem to be very lax.

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but it's better than starting a new one, I think. I need to go out there and pattern and reliability test my defense shotgun with 00-Buck. The rules say ...

Prohibited: (6) Load or discharge a firearm that contains more than six rounds of single projectile ammunition.

What the heck does that mean. I can't shoot multiple projectile ammunition? I don't want to get in trouble with any jack-booted ranger who's wife pissed in his cornflakes that morning dinging me for a rules violation.

My plan was to take it to the 25 yard range (even though I'd like to shoot closer, the rules don't allow for it as I read them).

Anybody know if I'm OK to pattern test 00-buck up to 6 rounds loaded? My gun won't hold more anyway, it's the nature of buckshot being multiple projectile ammunition. Unless that's what they're getting at, it's an awfully odd way to say things.

Thanks if anyone can clarify for me.

    Cheers,

    JC
