Same Day LTC Permits in Berks!
Anyone else see this? Emphasis by me; are they saying they'll issue same-day LTC permits? Or is this just for Sportman's Permits?

Re: Same Day LTC Permits in Berks?
Looks like it is LTCFs. Sheriff's website.
BTW, congrats to this sheriff, Eric J. Weaknecht...he "gets" it. Easy, fast, convenient and following the law for issuing, with no "extra requirements". Link to his instructions for a LTCF...all looks good and he doesn't call it a "permit" either!Last edited by HiredGoon; September 11th, 2008 at 09:58 AM.

Re: Same Day LTC Permits in Berks?
Just took a look at the website... NICE!!! So now you now MUST apply in person, but that's a small sacrifice to make given:
- He got rid of the references requirement
- He'll issue same-day if you pass PICS
All in all, this is great news for Berks county residents and makes me very happy that I voted for Sheriff Weaknecht.
I second that wholeheartedly!"Political Correctness is just tyranny with manners"

Now only if all PA sheriffs would follow his lead....
Here in Fayette Co., Sheriff Brownfield is cool about issuing too, with no hassles.

Berks County FFL
I saw a display by a Berks County dealer at a recent show but lost the contact info. It was something like "C&D" and was in the northern country. Thanks.
