The American's Creed
I believe in the United States of America as a Government of the People, by the People, for the People; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; A democracy in a republic, a sovereign Nation of many Sovereign States; a perfect Union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of Freedom, Equality, Justice, and Humanity for which American Patriots sacrificed their Lives and Fortunes.
I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to Love it; to Support its Constitution; to obey its laws; to Respect its Flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I cannot accept,

Re: TODAY IS SEPTEMBER 11th
This is one day that should be a national holiday of remembrance! The sad day that so many American Citizens lost their lives due to a cowardly attack on their own soil. It should also be remembered as the day of the first battle against terrorism because of the events that took place over Somerset, PA on Flight 93.
God Bless America and all those that have died for her...

Re: TODAY IS SEPTEMBER 11th
It hard to believe that seven years have gone by.
In April of that year we had finally completed an international adpotion and were settling into the routine of being a family. The biggest problem I had before that day was getting a swing set installed and set up for our daughter.
That moring was the normal commute from the suburbs to our office in Philadelphia. The weather that day was crisp and clear and sunny. As I got logged into my computer one of the staff called me to the TV that was playing in the waiting area of the office.
Her words were "Oh my God someone crashed into the World Trade Center"
I quickly dismissed it as an errant private plane pilot.
Then I went over and started watching the newscast. Peter Jennings was doing the on air commentary, and again I just dismissed it as some accident and the news doing their ususal sensationalism.
Then plane two hit the other tower.
I got a call from the manager of the bank we use. She called me to warn me that the Fed was ordering the closing of all banks and to get to the nearest ATM as soon as I could.
My daughter walked over to the TV and was pointing at the picture of the towers on fire.
I made sure tha the staff and I had each others phone numbers and I closed the office and told the staff to go restock on any food or water.
We drove home and on the way there I tried to use two ATM's and they were not working. Well at least we have some cash on us I thought.
Next stop was the supermarket. At that time people were still roaming the aisles no clue as to what just happened or caring what just happened.
We made a mad dash through the place and got what I knew we were short on.
Then for the rest of the day I watched the news cast of the towers falling.
That night the HBO mini series Band of Brothers was on. As I was watching it my mind was still thinking about earler events, and I wondered if we as Americans today were made of the same stuff as that generation fighting on the beaches of Normandy.
I wasn't so sure then. I am even less certain seven years later. The American soldier as usual has proven their valor and gallantry, but the politicans have not lived up to the ideals of this republic. Sadly some of our fellow countrymen have not been up to the task.
May God continue to Bless America, and may we its citizens live up to that blessing.gotta love her ;)

The Red, White and Blue on my roof top is at half mast as of 6:00am this morning.
To the Men and Women who were lost, and to those Brave heroes who rushed in, while others rush out...You are not forgotten.
