Default Dell's Gun Room in Lansdale

There have been a few reviews of Dell's previously, but none lately, so here it goes...

I needed a 22 Conversion Kit fitted to my 9mm (suggested by the importer due to some FTL and jamming). I was in the area, so I checked out Dell's Gun Room. Owned and operated by Tim Dell and his wife. Tim does sell the occasional used gun, but for the most part only does cleaning, repairs, modifications, and custom builds and race guns. I discussed my issue with him and he said it would only take him short while to fit it up. So I left it with him, not expecting to see it for a week or so. I get a phone call a few days later telling me it's done. He said it was done sooner, but wanted to be sure, so I know he put more time in than just 2 hours. He also fixed a ding in the chamber wall due to inadvertent dry fires (the slide does not lock open after the last round) at no charge. After running 150 rounds of 22LR hollow points (which were causing me all kinds of fits), it ran flawlessly. I'm currently loading a snap cap as the last round to prevent re-damaging the chamber wall. We also discussed a way of fixing the slide locking issue (which the importer says will not work)... so we will see.

If you're looking for a place for repairs to a full blown race build.... see Tim.

Just had a very positive experience here. Gun needed a spring and plunger. Tim repainted front sight and safety indicator, very quickly too.

Tim is an extremely knowledgable and patient gunsmith. I trust him with some very delicate work and he has never disappointed. I consider him the 'go-to' gunsmith in SE PA suburbs.

Just a quick update. Had work done on an old Mosin by Tim. His work still is flawless, and his knowledge of old arms is uncanny. I'm glad he is in the area and receptive to odd-jobs.

Quick and good quality barrel chop for my 12 ga. I'd go there again.
