Default New 41 magnum ammo choices...which one?

I'm a big fan of the .41 magnum. I don't handload, so I buy 'off the shelf'.

I've owned model 58's in the past, a model 657, and now I have a Ruger Redhawk 41 mag with 4.2 inch barrel.

I'm considering a 'do it all' sort of load for carry. I live in a mostly rural area. I have:
    1) Remington 210 gr. JSP (loud, fast, and bright. about 1300 ft/s)
    2) Speer 210 gr. Gold Dot (stout; about 1180 from the 4 inch)
    3) Winchester 240 gr. Platinum Tips (does about 1100 from a 4 inch).
    4) Winchester 175 gr. Silver Tips (mild load, identical to 10mm)
    5) Corbon 250 gr. hardcast
    6) Underwood 210 gr. JHP (as hot as the Remington 210's)

Right now I carry the Speer 210 gr. Gold Dot. It's almost full power, but I figure the deep and wide hollow cavity will expand well and somewhat limit penetration.

I'm considering going to the Winchester Platinum tip. That's a 240 gr. bullet at about 1100.

Which one of these would be an ideal 'do it all' round for rural carry (two and four legged goblins)?

    Thanks.

Handloading is the way to go for calibers like this.
Not a strong following and not a lot in the way of factory loaded stuff.
it's only metal, we can out think it....

41 mag.....I don't feel you need to overthink your carry ammo. If anything I would choose whichever one has the least flash.

depends on what its for. I'd go hardcast for woods gun, or hollowpoint for personal defense.
ps 250 grain hardcast will be effective against anything with 2 or 4 legs, that would be my choice if you shoot it straight.

Gold Dot are GREAT SD bullets in all calibers. I like Winchester Ranger-T s also. With a 41 Mag I'm thinking what ever you choose you will be fine.

Unless you're rich, the .41 Magnum is a handloading proposition. Plenty of good cast bullets out there and a wide variety of powders work well in the .41.
