    Default Red Army AK's

Ok, first disclaimer - I'm just passing the info. along. Not sure how good these AK's are, and they are from Classic - I know, I know, but "blowout" prices of $519 for wood furniture and $579 for the poly one. If Red Army AK's are actually decent and this is a very good price - let me know - lol.

Bad. Run. AK gurus will be along to explain why.

Your first indication of warning should be that it's coming from Classic. The RAS AK rifles suffer from poor heat treatment of the trunnions mainly.

Yes, Classic has been the worse of the worse for years. I finally broke down and bought something from them a few months back - after swearing I wouldn't, and all went smooth. I'm not sure if they are honestly trying to clean up their act - which should have started by getting rid of the nasty lady that almost always answered the phone, but we will see I guess. I figured they were shaky quality AK's. Thanks!

The RAS-47 AK's are all American made by Century. They have suffered everything from poor heat treating on various parts to bent and cracked receivers. They are not worth taking a chance on and there are several videos by gunsmith showing how terrible their quality is.

If Classic is throwing in a wifebeater and backwards hat from the collection of their video guy, it's worth buying...

If not, no, typical Classic crap.

The AK market has really been in shambles for a little while now. Lots buyer beware stuff out there. The lack of imports sure doesn't help. I see Molot is being auctioned off now. Would be nice if Trump would get to overturning some import bans.

Buy an Arsenal. Spend more once and not have anything to worry about.

Yeah, save up and pick up an Arsenal or one of those converted VEPRs. Hell even Arsenal is coming out with a "budget" model with an MSRP around $829.
