Default Marking 7.62x39 AR to differentiate from other carbines.

My first build was this in 7.62x39. I marked it using red vinyl tape to differentiate from the 5.56 carbines. If anyone has a better way, please let me know. Thanks.

Do you have any different color pistol grips laying around?

At least you don't have to mark the different "clips"...

could swear I've seen some sort of magwell decal that had the caliber on it.

    Sort of like this...

I have intentionally made each of my rifles visibly different from one another for that purpose.

Standard black furniture on my "go to" gun, custom hydro-dipped pattern on another, grey furniture for my 9mm, and this summer I'll swap out the M4 black furniture on my 22AR for FDE

I imagine you could use a mag band on the mag well.
You would just need to pop the front of the trigger guard off and rotate it down to slip the band on.

    Just a thought.

Thank you, everyone, for your input. I think I'm going with the dust cover and red tape on the grip and butt. The mags are going to stay red. I'm a visual management type.
