Pistol People, Bensalem PA
One word to describe this place---AWESOME!
Went here tonight on a complete chance: newbie shooter, picked this range on a whim, going alone, and a girl to boot? I thought my night would be mediocre at best, downright horrible at the worse.
Instead? Got walked through everything step by step by Steve, he spent time with me on the range and it was all in all a great experience. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming right from the start--I can't wait to be back again!
I'll most definitely be going back regularly, I highly recommend Pistol People to everyone that has a chance to stop by!

I'm a member there... Really nice guy that works there after you get to know him... You wouldn't be the first girl I've seen there by herself.. Next time you go PM me... As long as Manayunk isn't having some sort of race in it haha...

Re: Pistol People, Bensalem PA
I am always impressed when a female makes a commitment to learning how to shoot. Many females become intimidated by what is seen by many as a male only activity. This can be made even worse by some of the male shooters who try to act like macho know-it-alls. I don't know Steve personally but I spent 26 years as a Philly cop and know his reputation. He is a no B.S. kind of guy and even though he has a huge wealth of shooting knowledge never talks down to anyone when instructing. I live in Philly and I currently belong to Classic Pistol in Southhampton but I have been thinking about checking out Pistol People. Always looking for shooting buddies. Maybe a couple of us on this board can get together.

Re: Pistol People, Bensalem PA
i relocated from the lower bucks to clinton co. area years ago, but enjoyed this string.
30+ years ago, alex ragnoli, a mechanic at rohm and haas co., built what is now pistol people in his spare time. he also established a commercial casting and reloading operation with the latest star and camdex machinery available at the time...alex was a friend and i even worked there for a time.
