I was there in July and walked right through. They only wanded my wife's bag. It's been the same for the past 5 years or so since we became members and started going more frequently.

Thanks for the clarification. We didn't go into the small mammal house (assuming that's where the display is located), just saw the meerkats outside. And I checked, I only took a few pics that trip. I usually take at least 20, mostly of the otters and penguins.
