Default Is the Browning Hi-Power still in production?

I haven't been into shooting that much for the past decade or so. Life gets in the way, I guess. Today I opened up my "box of guns" for the first time in, well... forever, and remembered just how much I love my Browning Hi-Power! For me, nothing is more fun to shoot than a HP. Nothing rides more comfortably IWB than a HP. The grip angle is perfect - I don't even have to think about sight alignment, they practically line themselves up for me. The bore axis is impossibly low and the weight balances perfectly right on top of my grip.

I've decided to look for a Mk3 to keep my HP "Practical" company. Two is one and one is none - and I want to make sure I get another one while I still can.

But these things are just about impossible to find. Are they still in production? I see them on Browning's website but they're very difficult to come across in gun stores. I'd rather have a new one if possible. I remember when you could buy these every day of the week for like $550. And then there was the time when CDNN flooded the market with those "Safety Fast" models... those things were everywhere. A few years back I saw one or two used ones available for $900-$1100 but that was then. I'm afraid they're even harder to come by now.

PLEASE GOD, PLEASE LET THESE STILL BE IN PRODUCTION!!!!!!!

Still made but hard to come by. Maurers trading post is the only place I've seen new one's in stock. They go for around 1K. Gunbroker has a bunch from old nazi stuff to new. Price will be 500 and up, way up. They are also my favorite pistol. A matte black MKIII is my BBQ gun.

Yes, they are still made. I saw a new one at Cabelas a few days go, for around $1,000. I bought my MK III new in 1994, and I agree, they are great guns. My CZ-75's (totally different design, I know) have replaced my BHP as my go to pistols. You may want to check them out.

They definitely still do exist. Just bought one 2 weeks ago. Took some doing and phone calls though. If you're local to upper bucks pm me I know of 2 dealers with new ones that called back after the fact.

I just seen one in .30 Luger at a gun show. NIB. should of bought it. Kind of rare in that caliber.
