If we care, it is because it is yet another example of the deliberately un-factual anti-gun propaganda that utter morons get to spew to each other, unchecked by the free press, in the name of "common sense" gun confiscation.

This is a problem even for gun owners. Just because you are a gun owner does not mean you have any experience with suppressors. When I'm at the range, the most common thing I get is that it is louder than what they expected and that it's not anything like what they see in the movies. These are people who appear to be avid gun owners. Before I owned a suppressor, I thought it was movie quiet too until I started researching it. With the lack of integrity in journalism, misconceptions like this will continue. If this bill truly has a chance at passing, I expect the news will cover it quite a bit. We will see "experts" like the police chiefs saying it will be blood in the streets and mass mayhem. What we will not see are real experts in the field talking about the reality of suppressors and their real-world benefit to civilian firearms owners. I would love to see a nice hunting piece. One can hope.
