The New Google Browser - Chrome is Released
http://www.google.com/chrome
I just downloaded it and it looks really cool! Simple, familiar and very fast! I think I may be hooked once again by Google's step by step plan for global domination!

Yes Google dose have such plans for domination. I also downloaded the broswer and it has its rough edges, but it is very clean. Will reevaluate it on the second beta release...

Just be sure to browse porn with an old version of Netscape though. You don't want your keystrokes to reveal everything.

Re: The New Google Browser - Chrome is Released
Users are work are asking me to install it and I won't.
Not only do I hate most Google products, people just don't realize the security vulnerabilities associated with all of these things. Between your search history, desktop search, gmail and others, there's little, if anything, Google doesn't know about you.
Sounds like a one-stop-shop for the DHS or NSA.

Re: The New Google Browser - Chrome is Released
D-D-D-DOUBLE POST!!!!
This is exactly what I am talking about. Google's end user license agreement (EULA) pretty much says "Fuck you and your privacy". Google says they'll change it but will they? They claim to have re-used a EULA from another product but does a company like Google really make mistakes with EULA's for completely new products? I think not.
Ultimately, I see it like Google is letting you borrow a car. The condition of you using the car is that it's outfitted with GPS and cameras. Anything you do with the car will be tracked and watched. Your travel habits will be used to compile a profile on you and predict where you may go next and then offer you advertisements for close competitors to your intended destination. You cannot turn off the cameras, disable the GPS, or make any other changes to the car in any way. Of course, when the police pull you over, all of your information, travel history, speed, etc, is available to the officer upon demand.
Would you still drive it?"Because I'm an American." - MtnJack

Downloading it is blocked at work due to security vulnerabilities.

From the End User License Agreement:
"By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services. Re: The New Google Browser - Chrome is Released
Everything we do online anymore is tracked by someone somewhere! There is no such thing as privacy!
One thing I don't like about Chrome is the lack of any type bookmark management! Drag and drop is nice, but I have a ton of bookmarks that need arranged if I were to use Chrome.
