ACT 235 RENEWAL FEES
Sticker shock,$30 for the PSP Approval Elegibility to take the ACT 235 Renewal and another $150 for the Renewal Course cost ! Seems everything is going up beside gas ! Hate to give up the ACT 235 Card probably will never need it again for any kind of Armed security employment !

Re: ACT 235 RENEWAL FEES
I'm going to renew mine again this year even though I'll probably never need it.

Re: ACT 235 RENEWAL FEES
Did the re-cert today,Detective Davis of the Wilkes Barre AG office gave the course, very astute Instructor,Questions always remain the same on the test (lol) Gent next to me made no bones about attempting to copy my answers (lol) Scary though to not pay attention to a refresher course.Onto the range Qualified a 150 pistol and shottie. It seems though there is always a dingbat who does not exhibit gun saftey ! Pays to be attentive to all around you,all in all a good refresher. MDT

Re: ACT 235 RENEWAL FEES
Is the Act 235 cert. PA state issued ? If so that explains it, my state insp. lic. that I've had since 1974 and never paid to renew, will now with study guide and on line test cost all but $100.00. Every PennDot fee has increased or will be going up, the state will find money anywhere they can. Would think they will raise fees on all lic. and certs.

Re: ACT 235 RENEWAL FEES
LOL! I was arguing gun control with a clueless anti last week, and I brought up the young guy who stopped the Klackamas Mall shooting. "But he wasn't an average citizen, he was a licensed security guard!" I tried to tell him that a security guard qualifier doesn't prove excellence, it only weeds out the truly incompetent. He wouldn't believe me. Oh well...

Re: ACT 235 RENEWAL FEES
I don't know about that. A few years back I saw a Pa ACT235 guard trying to re-qualify and he could barely hit the paper at 10 yards. He failed the qual and had to come back for a retest, glad I wasn't these the second time. He had no concept of muzzle discipline or any of the basic fundamentals of marksmanship.
