Received undetermined after 15 days!!!!

I'm purchasing a handgun for home defense. If I'm undetermined can my wife purchase the gun and we can use if for home defense while I'm in the challenge process? I understand she will have to pass a background check as well.

I am no lawyer but that sounds like a straw purchase to me. Fight and find out what's up with you're background. You could get you're Wife could both end up arrested! I am sure a Lawyer will be along shortly to expand on my answer of, NO!

Do you have any idea why you were "undetermined"? Is there something in your past that you can point to and think that may be the reason? If yes I would say you would be breaking the law. Knowing what you know along with the non approval would, in my opinion, be proof of knowledge that you are a prohibited person.

If you do not have anything in your past that would make you believe you may be prohibited you may be fine or you may be playing with fire.

I would contact an attorney to help with your challenge. I would not have my wife apply during the challenge. I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advise.
