    Yes, it is legal and recommended to make and carry a copy of the Form 1 or 4, but as listed or was listed somewhere in the NFA handbook, the original Form needs to be stamped and signed.

    I've done it both ways but I prefer non efiled. I paid 200 dollars for a stamp and I want the physical item that I paid 200 dollars for, not a digital copy of it. That is just me though.

    The difference is that if you lose your original somehow, its gone. If I lose my eForms, I just log on to the portal and print new ones.

    I really hope they revamp eForms to allow for individual and trust submissions post-41F with uploads for fingerprint cards and photographs.

    Not true, I would just need to let the NFA branch that I need a certified copy of my form and that is just as good as the original or your digital copy. Not to worry though as my original stamps are very secure. Another nice thing about having an original stamp is if I ever get rid of that NFA item I can sell that stamp to a stamp collector and get some of my 200 dollars back.
