I'm a NY transplant to PA about 15 years ago. I was moving in large part to get away from all the NY insanity and sure as hell not looking to bring it with me...

I love living in PA but I keep my options open. I am hoping to end up in Montana or the Dakotas. I hate people and I work remotely so its ideal for me. My job should be offering me a move back to my native Texas but for me that is a cultural win only considering Texas gun laws blow compared to PA's.

Anything is better than NJ and NY though. I lived there for a few years after the military and it was awful.

I'd love to leave PA and head out west to a more freedom minded region, but would that make me an invader too?
Already happened years ago. Poconos to Hazelton is a big, gang-infested nightmare of New Yorkers.

    Bullshit.

You are the exception, not the rule. Most of them are complete shitbags by PA political and gun rights standards.

You guys should have elected me King. I would call up DOE and get about 15 dial-a-yield's set to enhanced radiation and have a 5 minute teleconference with some of these states.

If you want PA to stay PA; or improve. Then fight back. Go to very town council meeting and fight back at all the proposals being implemented by the invaders.
Join as many right leaning, politically active groups as you can. And be active in those groups.

Plus I'll repeat what I've stated in other threads.
MANY of those so called transplants from NJ. Are actually re-transplants from NYC.
They moved from NYC, screwed NJ, and now are moving to PA.
New Jersey has been a shithole longer than I have been alive. 60 years minimum. Their crappy gun laws were passed in the 60s. And, you know what? They were almost as crappy for many years before that. I also lived through their AWB almost 30 years ago, they were the first. They have ranked worst in every measure vs. other states for as long as all but the oldest of us have been alive. Shit, in the 80s my buddy's dad was paying $8,000 in property taxes for a $180,000 home in a working class area. Was life more pleasant in jersey back then? Life was more pleasant everywhere back then. But jersey being a shithole is not an overnight development. And, I assure you, the people moving here are NOT coming in peace by and large.

We have dozens of good people from Jersey and NY here on this forum. They are the extreme exception. Keep in mind, we probably have less than 1000 active users in a state of 13 million people. So it is a very select type that ends up coming here and then stays. We are not only NOT representative of Jersey transplants, we are not representative of Pennsylvanians (although more so).

I keep hearing "people came here for lower taxes." That doesn't count for shit. Taxes, local ordinances, and crime have skyrocketed directly due to people from Jersey and NY that came here to find lower property values and taxes. So what?
