Can I apply for my LTCF from any county in pa?

Reading the state police website, and it says I can apply with a sheriff from any county. Does this mean I can live in Philadelphia and apply anywhere I like in the state? Have the rules changed from where you had to apply at your local sheriff or police dept?

You have to apply in the county in which you reside.

Damn I was really hoping there was a change! Would be wonderful if I could have avoided the bull sheet that come along with applying for one in the city!

If that were the case , nobody who lives in that fine city would apply there.
