Re: Which AR-15 Carbine do you like best?
Thanks for the reply Smit. Do the Defenders follow the same specs as other LMTs? i.e. properly staked key, pressure tested bolt, etc.? LMTs website does not specify and I cant find any specific reviews to this model. Seems like a heckofa deal for under $1000. The model I'm looking at specifically is the LMT Defender Standard Patrol Model 16.

Re: Which AR-15 Carbine do you like best?
LMT always winds up in the top tier. Everything on it is mil-spec or better. The US Navy uses a lot of LMT's. I think just for their ship board duties ( and probably for the seals that have over 1000 missions in an underground range). I never babied mine, I shoot lots of crummy ammo (wolf) and still never had any problems. I do maintain my equipment though. That sounds like a good price, certainly less than I paid for mine a few years back.
